About Me

For the past 27 years, I’ve been a writer of all sorts: novels, essays, newspaper columns and features, website content, copy for advertisers, business letters of all kinds and a technical writer for software applications for end-users. I’ve won several awards for my newspaper writing. I was a freelance columnist for the Albuquerque Tribune from 10/01 to 2/08 when the paper closed. I’ve been a corporate trainer for the Henry Ford Health Systems in the area of Ethics involving Cause and Effects. I’ve held four major positions involving unfamiliar software that I had to learn about, use and write end-user instructions. Two websites have had national and international attention. Lenore Chinn: Break from Pulp and Disability Culture Timeline - A Brief History are being utilized as a teaching tools in several prominent universities. The latter website was included in the Scottish National Holocaust Memorial Day website. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1998 for the weather and the vast opportunities for writers and performers. I live with my husband Mark and our dog Shaft in the Nob Hill area in the heart the city. I hope to complete my M.F.A in Dramatic Writing and Directing, and to continue my disability activism for the extermination of the disabled myth "Better Off Dead".
