Polio-----1951, age 18 mos. Post-Polio Syndrome----1985, age 34 Current status----60+ % of previous (1985-level) functionality gone. Ability to breathe independently extremely compromised. Only one strength left to me-----my will to live! Nobody (medical) knows s___ about PPS around here (Austin TX), and I'm too weak to go to Houston. But we're having a beautiful Spring!
