Hello, in May 2001 I had a benign spinal tumor (pilocytic astrocytoma) removed that left me partially paralyzed. It was entangled from around T5-T9 and had pretty much filled up my spinal cord with syrinxs (resulting in a condition called syringomyelia). It took a little while to get used to being in a chair, but I have to say I am pretty blessed. I have a great support system of God, family, friends, doctors and co-workers. I have an awesome job, a home, car to drive, food to eat, clothes to wear, etc... I also live in a country that has made great strides in accommodating people in wheelchairs, at least compared to alot of other places in the world. What right have I got to complain about anything? :) I've got it pretty good compared to alot of people in this world. There's a whole lot more I'm happy to share, so send me an email if you are interested chatting. :)
