i'm a 42 yr. old w/f. wheelchair bound. when i was 3yrs. old, i got hit in the head behind my left ear by a car. i died three (3) times. i was in a coma for six (6) months. the doctors said that i wouldn't live, but if i did live, i wouldn't be anything but a vegetable & i'd have to be changed & fed forever. now, i went through school. i quit after the 11th grade because i was 20 & sick of school. i got my GED in '91. i went to WARM SPRINGS twice. the second time i was there, i met my husband. we got married in Aug. of '87. i was two months pregnant at the time. Tim had epilepsy & wouldn't take his medicine. and he kept it up out of my reach so i couldn't make sure he took it. he died in the bed lying next to me. he had a gran-mal seizer & a heart attack at the same time.it was Feb. 23rd at around 3am. he was 23yrs. old. i was 7 1/2 months along. my angel was born on April 6th, '88. i was 22. she literally saved my life. if i hadn't been pregnant with her, i would've killed myself. i loved Tim so much. but, i had our child to think about. if i took my life. i'd also be taking hers. i couldn't do that. i moved to Va. with my daughter. i wasted 10 yrs. of my life being married to the sorriest excuse for a man that you ever wanted, or didn't want, to know! he mentally abused me. but now, i'm in a relationship with a man i love very much. we've been together over eight (8) yrs. now & our love grows stronger every day.
