November 12, 2006. I had stinosis of the spine (birth deffect where the spine has extra bone built up inside the vertebrae at the top of the neck) and was unaware of it. After afew drinks I fell in my friends bathroom, jarred my neck, and was instantly paralyzed from the chest down. None of my spine was torn but because of the stinosis when it swelled up it had no where to go, thus bruising my spinal cord. I had a C3-C4 contusion (bruise between 3rd and 4th vertabre) and had undergone decompression surgery, leaving 7 bolts and two metal rods in my neck. I am currently considered a C5 due to my bicept strength and am waiting for more return.
