About Me

My name is Angel, from Birmingham, Alabama. Recently, I graduated from Auburn University (WAR EAGLE!) with a Secondary Education/English degree. After my internship, God led me in the unexpected direction of real estate. I can't say that it was completely unexpected; my mama has been in real estate for almost 30 years. I'm in the midst of completing my real estate license. At the end of August I closed on my first house. I got to play a major role in the construction of my home, and let me tell you... it's amazing to have a home that is so accessible. The downfall - I have to be a REAL grownup and pay bills. Take the good with the bad, right? I was introduced to Disaboom by Joe and Kara. Both amazing people. Kara and I spent an entire summer together as teammates on the US Paralympic Swimming Team. I completely adore her, and think she's fantastic. And Joe, I met at a LPA national conference in 2005. He's pretty much brilliant. I myself am a little person. That alone has blessed my life in more ways than I can imagine (I even wrote a 24 page paper for class on some of the highlights). I would love to get more involved in advocating disability issues. I'm certainly looking forward to getting to know the people here at Disaboom. > I'm the blond that looks naked (but I'm not).
