About Me

Born in '53, I've had an extensive education, culminating in a few degrees in Philosophy, British Lit, Composition and Rhetoric. I taught college courses for 7 years before becoming disgustipated with school administrations. I've had a variety of careers: education, food and beverage, broadcasting, manufacturing, and retail. Most recently, I managed a leading sporting goods company, but fired myself after breaking my neck in 2002. I'm now retired, and have been diagnosed with degenerative disk disease, cervical stenosis, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and complex PTSD. Like you, I'm more than my disabilities.... I am gentle, genteel, caring, creative and passionate. I confess to feeling lonely, alone, and isolated. I miss competing at the national level in my chosen sport, I miss travel, I miss relaxing peaceful pain-free days.
