Marnie Renda is the founder of Life At Home LLC and Destination Home LLC which provide home safety solutions for elders and persons with disabilities. She provides occupational therapist home assessments, consultations, home modification recommendations, products and coordination or installation/remodeling projects to enable clients to safely live at home. Marnie has worked in healthcare for twenty years including nine as an occupational therapist. During her time as a Rehab Director in a skilled nursing facility and lead occupational therapist she performed over 100 home safety assessments for persons returning home after short term rehabilitation. Additionally, Marnie initiated staff training and development programs throughout her career on topics such as fall prevention and home modifications. She is dedicated to her clients and to helping people live safely at home today and tomorrow. Through her volunteer work, she developed the home modification assessment tool for People Working Cooperatively as they launched their mobility program. Further, she is focused on educating clients, families and the community about fall risks and the benefit of home modifications and other interventions. Marnie continues her missions to educate the community by providing presentations at senior center, assisted and independent living communities. Marnie graduated from Lafayette College with a B.A. in Psychobiology and from Springfield College with a Master of Education of Occupational Therapy. Recently, she completed the Certified Aging in Place Specialist coursework with the National Association of Home Builders.
