About Me

I work in the graphic design industry as a production artist. I love what I do and have worked at advertising agencies, Earthlink, and I now work for a company that manufactures cochlear implants (which help the profoundly deaf hear). I look forward to using this community for connecting to others with the common things those with disabilities face from the happy to the challenging. I have a nuero-muscular condition called Charcot-Marie-Tooth (this falls under the umbrella of Muscular Dystrophy but is a disease of the nerve rather than of the muscle.) The name comes from 3 doctors who discovered the condition. See www.charcot-marie-tooth.org It is progressive so Ive had times in my life where I was barely affected by disability but now the muscle atrophy has started taking its toll and I can no longer walk very far and am starting to use a power wheelchair.
