Social liberal/fiscal conservative. Drug, alcohol, tobacco & debt free. BBA, MS Accy, CPA. No husband, no kids. Until recently worked as Director of Accounting for a national nonprofit agency; just began search for next (and with luck, last) position. Currently volunteer for City of Houston (handicapped parking enforcement), Houston Arboretum & Nature Center (trail maintenance), VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) and church. Right forequarter (arm & shoulder) amputee since age 15 due to bone cancer. Love to hike & tent camp--favorite spot in Texas is Lost Maples SNA. Last summer/fall got to explore the beauty of Québec's bountiful forests & lakes. Studied Spanish for 3 years and spent some time in Guatemala & El Salvador in '92-'93. Studied German briefly in 2001--interest in German arises from love of (and attempts at) Swiss-Alpine yodeling. Started French classes last year. Other interests include antique biplanes (which I acquired from my love of reading Richard Bach novels), tie-dye, and a lifelong passion for treehouses. Member of ACLU, Planned Parenthood, Sierra Club, PETA, Nat'l Center for Science Education, PBS & Eckankar.
