After 25 years in advertising business, I moved LA and became a screenwriter (at least, what I called myself). On December 10th, 2005, I was sitting around and minding my own business, when a strange feeling came over me. I went to family room to lie down--suddenly I couldn't get up. Fortunately, my wife was at home at the time. It took paramedics five minutes to come here to the home. In 48-hours, I had emergency surgery. It was massive hemorrhagic stroke of left-side my brain! They removed a clot about a size of a small tangerine. I hear not many of us survived to see the dawn of a new day. Long story short, I spent almost three weeks in ICU in drug-induced coma and two months in the hospital. That was 26 months ago. I'm halfway though the marathon. Now I walk around the house without the cane, my arm's getting better with help of "constraint therapy" (more on this later), and my speech slowly coming along.
