Accessible SCUBA Diving

The world of disabled diving, more correctly called accessible SCUBA diving, is thriving due to highly-popular accessible scuba lessons offered in cities throughout the country. People with disabilities can dive easily using adaptive equipment designed to support their needs, and dive trips and scuba diving tours are now a highly popular adaptive recreation vacations. These organizations can help you get started.

Access2Adventure

Access2adventure (a2a) is a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for people with physical disabilities. We provide unique opportunities to participate in a variety of sports, recreational activities and adventure travel. A2a is based in Rhode Island and serves the southern New England community.

Handicapped SCUBA Association

Founded in 1981, the Handicapped SCUBA Association has dedicated itself to improving the physical and socail well-being of people with disabilities through the sport of SCUBA diving, and in doing so, has become the worldwide leading authority in this field.
