Cancer organizations are a great place to find cancer support groups, cancer patient support, and cancer-related information, research, and resources. These organizations have both national and local outreach, and include all cancers as well as specific types such as breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, etc.

American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society is one of the largest and oldest volunteer health agencies in the United States. ACS’ mission is to eliminate cancer “as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.”
