Cancer organizations are a great place to find cancer support groups, cancer patient support, and cancer-related information, research, and resources. These organizations have both national and local outreach, and include all cancers as well as specific types such as breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, etc.
Organizations
The American Cancer Society is one of the largest and oldest volunteer health agencies in the United States. ACS’ mission is to eliminate cancer “as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.”
LLS strives to promote awareness about all types of blood cancer, including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and Hodgkin's disease. This organization is dedicated to improving the lifes of all those affected by blood cancer.
The Lymphoma Research Foundation is solely dedicated to finding a cure for lymphoma and improving the lives of those affected by this type of blood cancer.
NBTS is an all-encompassing resource for those affected by brain tumors.
