Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome (RSD)
Reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome (RSDS) is an uncommon condition that usually affects arms or legs. RSDS symptoms include intense localized burning or aching pain, swelling, skin discoloration, and altered temperatures, among others. Also known as chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS), this chronic, progressive condition has no known cause, and occurs three times more frequently in women than in men.
