About Me

Hey, I'm Kara, 28 years old, living in Miami Florida while I *finish* my Ph.D. in clinical psychology. I'm from Kentucky and attended undergrad in Dayton at Wright State University, so I still feel like that area is my home. This year I'm gaining clinical experience at a very busy Children's hospital in the psychiatric unit (both inpatient and outpatient). It's hectic, exhausting, and challenging-but so far, I love it. Advocacy work and an interest in disability culture makes up my "night life". I love to read, write, and talk. I'm a retired Paralympic swimmer, but try to keep active. I have two adorable bulldogs (Bailey and Obie) and an awesome boyfriend to keep me company down here in the MIA. Feel free to send me a message or stop by my blog and say hey.
